The Vinifera Trio presents "From Old World to Our World," a concert of classical, contemporary and jazzy music following the path of historic Hebrew themes and modern Jewish composers. The program will feature music inspired by Jewish folksongs.
Taking its name from the Old World wine-producing grape (Vitis Vinifera), the trio hails from the wine country in the SF Bay Area. Violinist Rachel Patrick is a performer and teaching artist/educator. Clarinetist Matthew Boyles teaches and performs with orchestras and chamber music groups. Pianist Ian Scarfe is a music associate at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and works as a freelance musician.
A hot buffet lunch is included.
