We are hosting a dinner (Nighttime Brunch) for black, latinx, chicanx, and indigenous folk in tech on June 16, 2017, at the Rithm School in San Francisco. Our goal is to foster community, connections, and support as we navigate tech spaces. This is not a one-time networking event, but rather a deeply needed initiative to bridge the unique struggles of black and brown folk across the tech spectrum and provide them with space necessary for self-care and mobility.
This will not be the traditional tech event, we are bringing folks together for the sole purpose of building community. Imagine a dope kickback meets Sunday dinner with the fam. The menu will include staples in black and brown communities along with Henny Mimosas (yes that is a thing).
