Friday Nights at OMCA with BULULU

SEE EVENT DETAILS
The Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) welcomes guests to be ignited this August! BULULU sets OMCA's Garden stage alight with an electrifying blend of Latin dance music and Caribbean rhythms that's guaranteed to get guests and their families dancing. BULULU is sure to make this Friday Nights at OMCA one full of savory beats, engaging performances, and even a few exciting surprises along the way.

Drag Storytime with Per Sia and their captivating reading of Paletero Man by Lucky Diaz is sure to be a hit and keep you pumped and energized for a scorching hot DJ set with the legendary Ren the Vinyl Archaeologist spinning a mix of Hip Hop, funk, soul, and reggae. There will also be stations for guests to design their own custom button inspired by the summer season and our newest exhibition Calli: The Art of Xicanx Peoples, a perfect way to remember another great summer Friday Nights at OMCA.

In addition to an outstanding event experience, every Friday Nights at OMCA also offers guests a well-rounded gallery experience with Gallery Chats. Unlike the traditional museum tour, Gallery Chats invites visitors to chat, ask questions and connect with our OMCA facilitators who combine content knowledge with lived experience to encourage meaningful dialogue and fresh interpretations of our exhibitions.
