FRIDAY FILMS @Goethe
PLOT:
"The Young Karl Marx" is big historic cinema, about the encounter of two intellectual giants who wanted to change the world and break down the old order. In large pictures and with a high degree of sensitivity director Raoul Peck tells the story of the historical development of a world famous idea as a portrait of a close friendship. He manages to give an intimate and precise view of German intellectual history, which has not been devastated as fundamentally as by these two brilliant and witty brains since the Renaissance.
