French Express Label Night w/ Jonas Rathsman, Moon Boots, Isaac Tichauer

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Mighty welcomes FRENCH EXPRESS, the label home to Perseus, Jonas Rathsman, Moon Boots, and Isaac Tichauer, on their first headlining North American tour with all four knights on board. The tight knit band of brothers, known as “the protectors of the feel good,” are looking to give musical riches to the poor on their first tour together, bringing their signature euphoric R&B-influenced house sound from coast .

PERSEUS founded the label in 2010 with the desire to create a musical hub and philosophy for his favorite artists and friends. From the start, the label blurred the lines between nostalgic underground house and pop, R&B and disco, with tracks like Jonas Rathsman’s “Tobago,” Moon Boots’ “Got Somebody,” Isaac Tichauer’s “Devotion,” and Perseus’ own “Seychelles” infiltrating fellow artists’ sets, such as Soul Clap, A-trak, The Magician, and many more.

JONAS RATHSMAN seemingly came out of nowhere in 2013 with the release of the huge underground anthem, “Bringing You Down,” but he had been honing his French Express sound since the ripe age of 18. In 2010, he cemented his place in the
French Express brotherhood with the release of the Tobago EP. In 2011, he released “Love is my Middle Name,” and continued to release stellar tracks, leading up to his latest remix for London Grammar, which premiered in Vogue earlier this month.

Fresh from navigating the depths of the cosmos, MOON BOOTS recently returned to Earth with his latest remix, a cosmic-disco-pop take on the “The Mother We Share,” which was premiered on RollingStone.com, by one of the year’s most buzzed about artists, CHVRCHES. Moon Boots originated within the crumbling infrastructure of NASA (which was later declassified, revealing he had been in Chicago all along), Moon Boots' uniquely combines lush House, Disco, and R&B.

Bound together with oozing soul and moody bass-lines, Isaac Tichauer’s productions splice together classic and contemporary house concepts. A classically trained pianist and heavily influenced by the Detroit house scene, Isaac orchestrates a deep progressive energy in his music through detailed synth-
work, melancholy vocals and classic lead elements from Rhodes to strings.
