Meet Ali – mushroom marketer turned zero waste cardpreneur. Ali founded funky card start-up Thoughtful Human in October, which works to take the "greetings" out and put the human back into cards and how we communicate — especially around dynamic relationships and challenging life circumstances (think cancer, grief, addiction...). She'll be talking about the Thoughtful Human formula for communication and healing, and what it takes to launch a socially-minded consumer brand in 2018!
Meet Natalia Bar - owner of Barr Necessities; a gluten-free pastry company based in Oakland. Barr Necessities celebrates Mother Nature's Recipes with our line of plant based packaged pastries- serving the vegan, paleo & low-sugar communities. Natalia took her passion for both nutrition and the natural world to build a business that now serves as a conduit to face environmental issues and support animal advocacy. She'll be focusing on how to to maintain and grow an emerging brand into a nationally distributed brand, while keeping your values aligned with your business's profit priorities.
Meet Jo – overworked, burnt out startup junkie turned modern day soul seeker living life with intention and purpose. GOFITJO is a health and wellness blog boldly bringing light to all the raw emotions, authenticity, and rawness to a woman's journey seeking to redefine a healthy and happy life. Jo took her passion for health and wellness mixed in with her experience in developing empowered employees and pursued a career in health and life coaching. She'll be talking about what it means to create a brand based on vulnerability and taking that leap into the unknown.
