Light the Band formed in late 2013, when guitarist Dan Guzman & drummer Logan Tyler began jamming at Santa Cruz Rehearsal Studios. James Tashnick joined shortly after and the first version of Light the Band was formed. Powerful, technical, funky, fast and raging, Light the Band was a powerhouse from the very beginning. After playing around town and developing their style, Tim Gan joined the group in January 2015. Tim's ultra funky, rhythmic style helped LtB develop their own unique brand of funky dance party rage music. In June 2016, Pat Blizinski joined the group on keys. When on stage, Light the Band is sharp, musical, and always evolving. Covering multiple styles and drawing from influences like Parliament Funkadelic, Jimi Hendrix, Talking Heads, Grateful Dead, Phish, The Meters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime, Bob Marley, Miles Davis, Tool, & Fela Kuti, Light the Band always delivers a high energy dance show sure to inspire even the harshest music critics.

Judo No is comprised of trumpet/vox/bass/guit/synth/percussion. This project is a fun, funky quartet, featuring music that will keep you groovin all night long.
