The de Young Museum celebrates National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) in October to raise awareness about employment difficulties, hardships, and highlight disabled people's everyday contributions to our society.
Join us as we learn and explore disable people's stories through two children's book readings as they strive to create a culture of empathy and mindfulness. After the readings, stay for a book signing and meet with the authors; Lisa "Tiny" Gray and Leroy Moore.
Free Saturdays are about celebrating art and this city that we love through meaningful experiences. Explore the permanent collections, take a guided tour, and get inspired to create art of your own at our art-making station.
