Carlos Santana. Stevie Ray Vaughn. Eric Clapton. These names all have one thing in common - the guitar. For some, fantasies of playing guitar are fulfilled through games like “Guitar Heroâ€Â®, while professionals may spend hours trying to emulate them.
Coming on May 7th at the Guitar Center in San Jose is an artist sure to excite the new player, seasoned player and everyone in between.
Luna Guitars will be hosting a guitar workshop featuring the 2008 Guitar Player Magazine “Guitar Superstar†winner Vicki Genfan. Clinics are free and open to the public, and have been created to appeal to accomplished players wanting develop killer “licksâ€, casual players who simply want to improve, parents wanting to introduce music to their children and anyone who simply loves guitar.
In Vicki Genfan, attendees will be introduced to a player that many are saying is the best of her generation. With a style that features multiple open tunings and a dazzling two-handed tapping technique, Genfan’s flurry of notes will tempt attendees to think she has three hands. A wonderful, albeit subtle message is that women, as well as men, can “rock the stage†with the best of them.
The workshop is free but capacity is limited. Luna will also have a Artist Relations person on hand to discuss sponsorship opportunities for bands and artists. For additional information visit http://stores.guitarcenter.com/san-jose,
