FORQ feat. members of Snarky Puppy

SEE EVENT DETAILS
ARTIST PERSONNEL
Chris McQueen guitar
Henry Hey keyboards
Michael League bass
Jason "JT" Thomas drums

Made up of members of funk megastar band Snarky Puppy, Rudder, and Roy Hargrove’s RH Factor, FORQ is, in bassist/Snarky Puppy founder Michael League’s words, “a band that is biiiiiig on groove and sonic exploration.” As much of an established juggernaut as League’s full time gig may be, the roots of FORQ go just as deep, with League and fellow Snarky Puppy member, guitarist Chris McQueen, meeting at University of North Texas and drummer Jason “JT” Thomas (Roy Hargrove’s RH Factor, D’Angelo, Marcus Miller) first playing with the bassist just after college. A Snarky Puppy tour with masterful jam/funk quartet Rudder brought League and McQueen together with keyboardist Henry Hey, who signed on to form a new group along with guitarist Adam Rogers for their self-titled debut. With McQueen now a member in place of Rogers, the band recorded their latest album, Batch, that League says “has a very hard, NYC-style sound that is industrial but also innovative, and also has some serious Texas flavor considering that two of the guys are from there and that all of us lived there for different periods of time.”
