Katina Alexopulos will speak about her project Los Muertos Nunca Mueren, in which she processes grief through a series of diptychs that address memory, family connections, and family history. Ashley Ross will speak about her work 10/27/03, which similarly addresses family history and identity. Ross mines her family archive, presenting photographed documents layered with family snapshots alongside poetic staged black and white photographs.
