'Fluid' Art Exhibition: Opening Reception

Four Barrel Coffee is pleased to present 'Fluid', an open call exhibition of artwork relevant to the concept of fluidity. Artists from the Bay Area as well as many different parts of the United States and Canada will be represented in this diverse and exciting showcase. Many of the artworks presented focus on the fluidity of the materials- free flowing paints, inks, and resin- in abstract compositions, with compelling color choices and movement sometimes unpredictable, sometimes controlled. Other artists have taken a more literal approach, using water as the subject of photography or painting. There are also some pleasant surprises like sculpture and portraiture. Throughout the exhibition there is a sense of dissolve, change, and movement, with its implications relevant to human perspective and our relationship to the substances which surround us.

Join us on Friday, September 22 from 6-8pm for the opening reception of this exhibition. Drinks will be served and many of the artists will be in attendance.

Four Barrel is a cafe and roastery that has been supporting artists with exhibitions since 2008. This exhibition is free and open to the public.
