"With roiling beats, floating vocals, and an ominous grace, this UK artist makes trip-hop for a new time." – Pitchfork
Growing up in rural Gloucestershire, Tahliah Barnett moved to London and became known as Twigs (for the way her bones crack). Since then, she has carved out a classic triple-threat career in music, dance and acting.
Prior to her own releases, FKA Twigs paid her dues as a back-up dancer in 2011 Sound Of winner Jessie J’s video for Do It Like A Dude, and also appeared in a BBC comedy sketch called Beyonce Wants Groceries.
Her critically acclaimed EP2, released on influential indie label Young Turks (The xx, Jack Penate), is a moody, breathy and intimate affair and has received strong radio support. – BBC / Sound of 2014
