Curator Marvin Plummer gathers five local artists to create interpretations of their favorite jazz musicians. The collective features San Francisco muralist Brian Barneclo; assemblage artist Jack Howe; artist/illustrator Charlie Powell; high school artist Owen Powell; and printmaker Doug Ross. DJ Vinnie will be spinning classic vinyl from Blue Note and Impulse Records from the 60s and 70s. DJ Vinnie was voted best local DJ by the San Francisco Bay Guardian Reader’s Poll. The KJ café and beverage bar will be open, so join us for a funky and festive First Friday!
