Filmed live in 1981, this is the only documentary to date devoted to the Art Ensemble. Playing at the height of their collective powers, Roscoe Mitchell, Lester Bowie, Joseph Jarman, Famadou Don Moye, and Malachi Favors raise the roof of Chicago's Jazz Showcase; tunes include We-Bop, Promenade, On the Cote Bamako, Bedouin Village, New York Is Full of Lonely People, and Odwalla.
