Kicking off MCD's Craft Connections series, Fiber Fest, offers visitors a hands-on opportunity to dive deep into the world of textile artistry.
Inspired by RugLife, Fiber Fest features local artists and makers including:
- Multimedia artist Hannah Milstein, who will share her knitting expertise.
- Master felter Risa Iwasaki Culbertson, who will guide attendees through creating whimsical felted sculptures.
- Zoe Edwards, who will teach crochet techniques for all levels.
- A mindful embroidery workshop where participants can create beautiful artwork, mend garments, or embellish accessories.
Attendees can try their participate in a community punch needle project and make a touchable work of art to travel with the exhibition.
