Fialta (members formerly of Sherwood) is a dual-couple quartet from San Luis Obispo, CA making ornate indie pop rich with harmonies, keyboards, ukulele, and synth in the vein of Best Coast, Foster the People, Vampire Weekend, and JR JR. Their recent release Shadow of a Drought is a sun-drenched, synth-laced, pop meditation on life in the 21st century.
In North Central Washington State, Tyson Motsenbocker grew up in the apple orchards and pine forests at the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. It’s the pastoral sound of his childhood that has defined the sound of his music, even among the freeways and fast pace of his new Southern California home. After the release of two EP’s Until it Lands and Rivers and Roads Motsenbocker defined himself as a mature lyricist and accomplished songwriter, sharing the stage with the likes of David Bazan, Vance Joy and James Bay.
Bylines (formerly of Hurricane Roses and Olympic Year) is a new alt rock 5-piece from San Jose. Members of Bylines have been heavily involved in and connected with the Bay Area music scene for the last decade. Their sound can be described as melodic, modern, indie rock, with a 90s alternative flavor reminiscent of the Gin Blossoms. Bylines is currently recording their debut EP, to be released this summer.
