IMPROVISING LIKE A BADASS.
Do you struggle with making good choices because you tend to get stuck in your head? This workshop will focus on cutting through the bullshit and initiating and reacting strongly and truthfully in our scenes. We will focus on fighting hesitation and offering something substantial to our scenes and to our partners to create kick-ass improv together.
About Your Instructor:
Mary Catherine Curran hails from Maryland where she studied Theatre Performance at the University of Maryland, College Park. She is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory and iO Training Center. She currently teaches and performs at iO Chicago (Virgin Daiquiri, Lil Tooties, Glass Basement); she also teaches, writes and performs at the Annoyance Theater (Shebeast, Trigger Happy, Bite Size Broadway). She has directed several shows that have been featured all over Chicago including the Second City Beat Lounge, The Crowd Theater, The Annoyance, and iO. She has written and performed 3 solo shows, "Nimrod" (Public House Chicago), "Hideous" (Annoyance), and "One Woman Space Jam" (iO); She also performed for the Second City in their House Ensemble and aboard the NCL Breakaway.
