Improvised Bollywood with Jahnavi Dave
Improvised Bollywood is a fun song and dance based genre and the workshop for this format will consist of fun formations and improvised steps for Bollywood dancing, introduction to Bollywood story structures and characters, work on Bollywood specific music and song creation, and integration of workshop participants in a Bollywood genre show.
*If you are a female-identified improvisor and attend this class, you get to perform in Improv Mumbai's Bollywood musical with the all womxn trio of Improv Mumbai.

About Your Instructor: Jahnavi Dave, has been a working voice and theatre artist for the past 11 years in Mumbai. She has, since 2015, been an improvisor with the first Improv company of India- Improv Comedy Mumbai. She has also travelled across the American North West during the Improv Tour conducted by ICM in 2017. In this tour she performed in front of house full audiences in Seattle, Portland, Salem, Bellingham, among others.  She was a lead performer and an integral part of the creation process for the Bollywood Format of the 2017 tour.A student of English Literature, Jahnavi has been an actor with many renowned theatre companies in Mumbai. She has performed Naqaash with Rage productions, Talli Tuesday with The Actors Cult, Don't Look Now with Akvarious, and is currently working on a Shakespeare production called Taming of the shrew. She started her career in Radio Mirchi Ahmedabad as one of their radio jockeys. After her shift to Mumbai she appeared in such television shows as Ek Packet Umeed, Rishta.com, Kismat and was one of the leading anchors for Star CJ Alive. Her film career has seen her give appreciated performances in Sabki Bajegi Band & Hotel Zodiac, Eela And Dhadak (yet to be released)
A stellar host and presenter, Jahnavi endeavours to utilize her Improv training to entertainappreciative audiences and spread the joy and name of Improv across India.
