Femme Fatale: A Film Noir Cabaret

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Combining a vintage sound with classic material to a thrilling effect, cabaret artist Shannon Wolfe showcases her favorite songs from film noir as pianist John Wilson reimagines the moody soundscape of noir jazz with his own, personal touch. Watch the story unfold as they weave their way through the songs recreating the magic of noir-speak. With Ollie Dudek, bass.

You'll hear songs from noir films such as Gilda ('46), The Hucksters ('47), Laura ('44), The Bribe ('49), To Have and Have Not ('44), The Blue Gardenia ('53) Affair in Trinidad ('52) Dead Reckoning ('47), I Walk Alone ('47), and recall the femme fatale sirens who helped make them notorious.

"Film noir has a mood that everyone can feel. It's people in trouble, at night, with a little bit of wind and the right kind of music. It's a beautiful thing." David Lynch.
