at Chautauqua Hall (see times)
As part of their Chinese Fishing Village Walk of Remembrance event, the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History is proud to present a special lecture with Sandy Lydon, a member of the Cabrillo College faculty since 1968. This lecture, entitled "Feeding the Hungry Ghosts: The Resurrection of Pacific Grove's 160 Year-Old Chinese Legacy," focuses on the Chinese immigrants and their descendants that have been integral in Pacific Grove's history from the establishment of an abalone fishing camp on the coast onward. Sandy will also shed light on some of the more recent developments in the history of Pacific Grove's Chinese pioneers.
