Local funk ensemble Super Soul Bros operate on two different levels. On the one hand they are a retro, video game-loving nerd's dream come true, as they transform old video game tunes into funky, smooth-grooving jams. But for people who don't really care about video games--or wouldn't even recognize the Super Mario Kart theme song if they heard it--the Super Soul Bros still bust killer dance grooves. Keyboardist Robbie Benson infuses the music with a cool, soulful, jazzy vibe. Their Facebook page says they are available for weddings and corporate events. That would make for an awesome wedding or Google company party. (AC)
