The Fall Equinox - the turning point of summer to Fall is beckoning you out into nature to soak in the final warm days of Fall and Indian Summer in the bay.
We cordially invite you to our Fall Equinox love affair of an evening!
To savor the warmth of summer, sunsets, and creative expression - in beach yoga (with headphones) dance, friendship and creativity through art and movement, including earth mandalas!
Join us for an evening of immense beauty.. we can't wait to hang with you!
All ages, all levels of yoga welcome. Kids + dogs welcome too. Kids under 12 free.
happenings
4pm : event opens
4:30pm - 5pm : dance get your body warmed up, moving and grooving to your favorite hip hop + pop beats. The choreography is easy to follow, with the focus on feeling the beat and dropping low!
Devi is a dance, yoga, and group fitness instructor with a background in theatre. She empowers her students to release expectations and inhibitions in order to fearlessly, shamelessly, and unapologetically be themselves and move their bodies!
5:15pm - 6pm : beach yoga with outdoor yoga lover and founder Julie and internationally know live DJ Gabriel Francisco!
Julie finds freedom and great joy in the outdoors and founded Outdoor Yoga SF to bring people in community to enjoy the beauty of SF and feel the grace and power of moving in nature. Gabriel's music brings electronic percussion, this sonic sound for the soul will transport you! As an international dancer, DJ, teacher, and choreographer, Gabriel's entire professional career has been to take movers on an enriching, educational and insightful journey. We're SO excited to have him back.
4pm - 6pm : Make an earth mandala with us... using natural beach materials we'll co-create an earth design. This art activity will by our team and we invite you to co-create this beautiful nature art with us.
6- 7:15pm: Channel 1 - live DJ Gabriel Francisco // Channel 2 - your favorite pop beats // Channel 3 - peaceful, meditative tracks when you feel like slowing it down.
contribute :: This part is optional! and a beautiful way to engage.. Bring a small gift for at least 1 other person. It can be a flower, something handmade, or not.. no stress. any small gift. if you're coming with a crew of people it can be fun to get together and brainstorm a fun gift to give as a group.
dress :: We encourage you to dress in your own favorite style. Express yourselves through colors, patterns and textures.
nourish :: We will have healthy and delicious local vendors on site serving up tasty treats for you, included as part of your ticket price.
