This course on outdoor installation will combine rigorous studio time, lectures, critiques, walks, and relevant site visits to aid students in developing a body of work that is site responsive. By participating in this class, you will interact with your surroundings, research its history and communities, and learn from artists working working with similar methodologies. This course will unpack each student’s relationship to site from new vantage points. Students will dedicate their semester to a series of site specific works, performances, and/or presentations.
