FAKE YOUR OWN DEATH
"The music is a mix of Joy Division, Love and Rockets and The National with brief moments of Interpol thrown in." --Front Porch Musings

"Their songs are really good, like if Interpol decided to play faster and have some hard rock riffs. The vocals had a tinge of early Elvis Costello, and they play around with song structure a lot as well." --SF Bay Guardian

I AM ANIMAL
"How nice it is to take up a familiar sound again,” says I Am Animal, “and draw new lines from the traditional mouth.” A sound you think could be equal parts lighthouse and alleyway, tides surging and nightmares thudding. Or a story told with indelicate layerings of guitars, synthesizers rumbling and voices trembling with urgency. I am Animal is composed of Daniel Clark, Ryan Joseph, and Charles Scheinblum.

THE FASHION SLAVES
We got together to play music, dress up, and have fun," according to Emily Jayne and Eric Din, members of the Bay Area's preeminent ska band, The Uptones. "We had some songs that weren't ska, and wanted to perform them live." So Emily and Eric recruited Eric Knight, the former Engine 88 bass player and Pete D'Amato, drummer with The Agent Deadlies. The Fashion Slaves were created in 2011. Along with legendary Beserkley Records founder Matthew King Kaufman and Grammy winning producer/engineer, Michael Rosen, they have have teamed up to record a live CD titled "Check Out The Fashion Slaves," on Fun Fun Fun Recordings. The recording includes originals like "Suffer For Fashion" and "Loud Mouth Girl" along with their version of The Uptones' song "Going Down."

"After playing solo for most of my career, it's truly been amazing working with such great musicians. This new combo gives more juice to my original material, and frees me up to perform more on stage," says Emily Jayne.
