The Choral Group has a special affinity for SV Rotating Shelter. It is known for their unique approach of bringing together talented musicians and vocalists, looking to further their craft. Their repertoire on May 4th will feature music that spans several cultures, and many styles. Highlights include: Howard Hanson’s "A Prayer of the Middle Ages," Veljo Tormis’s stunning and virtuosic "Jaanilaul," Christopher Tin’s "Baba yetu" (made famous from the video game “Civilization), Brad Holmes’s exciting triple-choir American hymn setting of "Weeping Mary," and the rhythmic, toe-tapping "O sifuni mungu." Other favorites will include the world premiere of Mac Huff's arrangement of the popular song "Some Nights," made famous by the pop-rock group FUN. The program will include music ranging from songs that stir one’s soul, to those that make mirthful laughter.
