His music is akin to his bass tone: deep, rich and woody with a flawless execution, no doubt honed by those many years with Marsalis and others, such as Kurt Rosenwinkel and McCoy Tyner. Revis’ playing is personal and distinctive while his skills as a band leader and composer are equally profound and inspiring.
