e·mer·gence
/əˈmərjəns/ n
in philosophy, systems theory, science, and art, emergence is a process whereby larger entities, patterns, and regularities arise through interactions among smaller or simpler entities that themselves do not exhibit such properties.
Bay Area painter Halsted Craig Hannah is fascinated by people and the things we are able to build when working together. Conversely, he is fascinated by the patterns we create unconsciously as a group or as groups of groups.
Hannah is influenced by landscape, architecture, and the human figure. His personal work appears in private collections and has been exhibited in solo and group shows. As an illustrator the bulk of his work has been in film, video, and television previsualization.
