Fresh off the release of its brand new album, Cali Got a Brass Band, Element Brass Band comes to the Red Poppy for a night of high-energy Mardi Gras vibes and New Orleans second line. Bay Area powerhouse Noelle Glory & The Guarantees open the evening with a set of soul, funk, and reggae grooves.   FEATURING: TBA   ABOUT THE ARTISTS: Sacramento’s Element Brass Band is one of the premier bands on the West Coast for New Orleans second line. The group has toured in New Orleans, New York City, and Atlanta, and has performed at many venues including the High Sierra Music Festival, Guitarfish, the Fillmore, the New Parish, the Boom Boom Room, and Ace of Spades. E.B.B. has opened for GZA of the Wu-Tang Clan, Blackalicious, Andy Frasco, The California Honeydrops, Turkuaz, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, A Tribe Called Red, Angelo Moore of Fishbone, Jellybread, Katdelic, Wil Blades, Victor Little, DJ Logic, New Kingston, and many others. The band has twice been given the accolade of Best in Jazz at the Sacramento Music Awards, and its momentum shows no signs of slowing down! (Photo by: Aaron Guzman Photography)   Lead singer-songwriter Noelle Glory Guerin (Noelle Glory) is a Bay Area entertainer hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina. She has been living in the Bay for over two decades and has been performing in musical theater productions and local bands for many years. She has opened for legendary artists such as The English Beat, Jimmy Cliff, Fishbone, Yellowman, Israel Vibrations, and Don Carlos. Her most favorite performance was singing the national anthem for the Golden State Warriors in 2010. Guerin has trained with the San Francisco Ballet, Voice Studio, SF Acting Academy, Blue Bear School of Music, and American Conservatory Theater. She holds a radio and television degree with SF State University and can also be seen singing with the Bay Area’s premier ska collective Soul Ska and reggae band Jethro Jeremiah Band.

EVENT TIME
When should I arrive?Doors open 30 minutes before the scheduled performance time. For example, if the show is scheduled to start at 7:30pm, the doors will open at 7:00pm. If the show is scheduled to start at 8:00pm, the doors will open at 7:30pm, and so on.
TICKETING & ADMISSION
When does the box office open to buy tickets at the door?Guests may buy tickets when doors open 30 minutes before the scheduled performance time. Ticket availability at the door is limited and contingent on online sales for each show.
Does purchasing an advance ticket guarantee seating?Purchasing an advance ticket guarantees admission, but does not guarantee seats. Seating is first come, first serve.
Does the Poppy accept debit or credit cards?At this time, we can only accept cash and check. Credit card processing will be coming soon.
What's the refund policy?Refunds are only available in the event of a cancelled performance.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?No, this event is all ages. However, wine and beer will be served at the concessions counter.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?You may bring your printed ticket or show your ticket on your phone. There will be no tickets available for pick up at Will Call.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?Yes, you’re welcome to purchase tickets for someone else.
VENUE & LOCATION
Is the space ADA accessible?Yes, there is a ramp at our 23rd St entrance.
What kind of seating do you have available?For most of our events we have folding chairs and a few couches available.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?Street parking is available but can be limited around the Red Poppy. We encourage you to take public transportation whenever possible. Several MUNI lines run close to the Red Poppy, and the 24th St. Mission BART station is just under half a mile away.
What can I bring into the event?Guests are welcome to bring food. Beverages are available by suggested donation. We recommend bringing collapsible strollers, if possible.
How can I donate to the Poppy?You may bring cash, check, or donate online at http://redpoppyarthouse.org/participate/give/.
