The second performance in a Double Bill with Nikki Mischke's "No" Story as part of the premiere of this year's N.E.W. Festival at Counterpulse.
Mariah Castle is a theatre-maker and educator. She makes work about gender, love, and being human. She likes to include food, whenever possible, in her performances. She strives to make her audiences feel welcomed and included. She is the theatre teacher at Malcolm Arts Elementary School in Berkeley, California where she guides 500+ students a year through the joyful process of making and sharing plays. Mariah holds a B.A. from the University of Oregon in Sociology and Religious Studies and (as of next week) will be a graduate of the California Institute of Integral Studies with an MFA in Theatre and Performance-Making.
