Earplay Tangent

Please join Earplay as we return to the concert hall in a program celebrating the centenary of the late Andrew Imbrie - a great friend to the ensemble. Imbrie's "Dream Sequence" (1986) for flute, oboe, clarinet, violin, viola, cello, piano, and percussion, will be joined on the program by the live world premiere of Fred Lerdahl's "Reflection" for flute, clarinet, and piano in memory of Andrew Imbrie, commissioned by Earplay. Also on the program will be the world premiere of Jean Ahn's "To the Ice Mountains" for oboe, clarinet, viola, and cello, an Earplay commission; and, Tyshawn Sorey's "For Fred Lerdahl" (2018) for viola, piano, and percussion.
