Dystopia Presents "Handsome Dodger's Birthday & Monthly Finale"

To all of our comrades, this February marks the =DYSTOPIA= monthly finale at Lounge 3411. Deciding to stop presenting a monthly event at Lounge 3411 and switching gears was not an easy decision. However, we feel that it is for the best at this time as we switch gears and start working toward something new for Dystopia Drum & Bass aficionados across the sprawl.
8 years ago, Dystopia Drum & Bass took one small step for Primitive Science, one giant leap for Oakland Drum and Bass. Jose ZykesChilly Rodriguez and I never thought that our “baby” would grow to 8 years of age at Lounge 3411 in Oakland, California. Some of you understand the significance and history of this. What was once a ‘rave’ genre forced into warehouse side rooms and considered a novelty has grown into a worldwide phenomenon showcased at some of the largest music festivals and high tech clubs on the planet.
It has been a huge honor bringing Drum & Bass to Oakland, CA and showcasing local, stateside and abroad artists. We are extremely thankful to Adam Afuvai and Stephanie Sullivan for providing Dystopia DNB with a home for 8 years. Moreover, Dystopia thanks all of the bar and security staff at Lounge 3411 and BRIX 581 that has worked our events through the years. Additionally, we are thankful to all of the residents that we have had through the years that helped Dystopia to be what it is today…Every one of you are an essential part of the Dystopia team…Much love and respect.
We are extremely excited and we most certainly hope that you are too! Dystopia proudly presents our “102nd show” at Lounge 3411 and BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION for Dystopia's very own HANDSOME DODGER.
