Poland-born Mateusz Miller aka Radikal Guru has pioneered a compelling and unique fusion of sounds that encompass dub, reggae and dubstep. Inspired by sound system culture, his music has become synonymous with suffocating degrees of dread bass, vibrant and eclectic palettes of tone, and varying tempos that reward both the dance floor conscious, and the more meditative listener. Heavily influenced by the likes of King Tubby and The Scientist, Matt first gained worldwide acclaim and recognition through a string of killer 12” releases on leading reggae/dubstep imprint, Dubbed Out, before forming a creative partnership with Moonshine Recordings, where he has cemented his reputation as one of the strongest proponents of the scene. His Moonshine discography boasts highlights like his debut LP, The Rootstepa, the mighty “Dread Commandments” 12,” and his subsequent albums Subconscious, and Dub Mentalist. His latest EP is called Empire Dub. Not only a talented producer, Matt is also a fine selector, conveying his passion for music through DJ sets that pay homage to the sound and culture’s rich history, while showcasing the freshest cuts from himself and his contemporaries. He has hit spots all around the world to assault sound systems with bass-fuelled beats and positive vibes. This exclusive Bay Area appearance is not to be missed.
