DRINK, EAT, GIVE is a benefit for Lafayette Elementary School in San Francisco. This red carpet event will host some of the top restaurants from different districts of the city, live band, cocktails, silent and live auction. All proceeds of this event will help fund the continuation of Lafayette's amazing academic and extracurricular programs that benefit all students. Lafayette is a recent winner of one of the highest rankings a school can receive: the National Blue Ribbon Award. Lafayette Elementary was awarded the National Blue Ribbon award in November 2016, thereby claiming it’s place as one of the TOP 200 schools in the nation. Only five public and private schools in San Francisco/Bay Area hold this prestigious title. .
Lafayette is a distinctive public elementary school that provides each student with a holistic academic experience. Lafayette Elementary is ranked a 10/10 from GreatSchools.org. In addition to superior academic results, Lafayette Elementary students benefit from a variety of programs that that go beyond the classroom. Outdoor Education teaches children about sustainable gardening and the importance of the ecosystem. The students learn about empathy and sympathy through the Kimochi System. Lafayette is the only San Francisco school wherein elected Conflict Managers resolve small disagreements between peers on the yard. Computer sciences includes coding classes and access to ipads in the classroom. Art in Action provides an academic introduction to ancient, classical and modern art with corresponding lessons. Performing arts activities include opera, instrument lessons, dance, chorus, and drama. Lafayette parents created the award-winning Stop, Drop & Go program helping students arrive safely at school which has since been adopted city-wide.
The annual budget for these exceptional programs and teachers is $275,000 above the school’s alloted district budget. These programs are generously funded by families and corporate sponsors. Please help us raise the necessary funds to maintain and enhance the Lafayette programs in the coming school year. Your ticket is 100% tax deductible.
