dreamseeds: Closing Celebration

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Over the course of the last twelve months, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, a San Francisco-based arts institute, closely supported 10 local artists as they designed creative prototypes that impact community health and well-being by addressing racial justice and climate equity. Now, a year later on August 26th, the long-awaited work of the YBCA 10 will be presented at dreamseeds, a day-long celebration and creative jubilee.

dreamseeds will be a maze of creative installations to explore: Cast or learn a new spell in Mahiwagang Libros, a participatory project presented by Filipina American artist and writer, Dorothy R. Santos; share a family immigration story at Oakland photographer Hasain Rasheed's Too Experienced to be Taken for a Stroll; generate music from your movement on the interactive dance floor, Anima, constructed by director, choreographer, and dancer, My-Linh Le; and consider gaze and stewardship at The Watchtower, a multidimensional megaverse created by artist Ayodele Nzinga. I've included a full list of artists and their projects below.
