Acclaimed 9-man Bay Area vocal ensemble Clerestory is proud to present the final concert in its twelfth season. Dream States explores music tuned to different states of consciousness, in ways both whimsical and philosophical. Featured works range from Gregorian chant and classic lullabies, to contemporary pieces by Eric Whitacre and David Conte. Clerestory also shines a timely spotlight on female composers in this set, including Pulitzer Prize finalist Augusta Read Thomas and the Bay Area's Minna Choi. Listen and dream amongst the shifting artwork at the David Brower Center and the dancing saints looking down from the vaulted ceilings of St. Gregory of Nyssa.
Founded in 2006, Clerestory's mission as a professional, all-male vocal ensemble is to engage, enlighten, and inspire both audience and performer by bringing the highest level of artistic excellence to a wide range of choral music for performances and recordings in the greater San Francisco Bay area. Clerestory's singers, from countertenor to bass, are veterans of San Francisco's finest professional vocal groups, including Chanticleer, Philharmonia Baroque, American Bach Soloists and others. The ensemble has been featured on National Public Radio and on San Francisco's KDFC. Learn more at
