A smart, effusive and resourceful soloist, Doug Webb's mastery of saxophone comes with ardently playing the horn for decades and taking the standard repertoire seriously. He has been featured on over 500 recordings for hundreds of artists including Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Clarke, Quincy Jones, Rod Stewart, Carly Simon, Art Garfunkel, Queen Latifah, and Cher. He played for fifteen years with the Doc Severinsen Tonight Show Big Band. Webb has recorded music for hundreds of movies and television programs, including for the Law and Order theme song. He solos on the sound track for Million Dollar Baby and Gran Torino. and Mystic River. Webb is a smart, effusive and resourceful soloist who finds his own ways of dealing with the melodies and changes of familiar tunes.

Last seen at the Bach dueling with Jerry Vivino's Allstars, he brings Jeff Littleton, bassist with the Herbie Hancock Trio from 1993 to 1995; pianist New Yorker Peter Zak, an in-demand pianist from NYC recently performing with Carlos Abadie Quintet, at Smalls coming up in November, and Walt Weiskopf Quartet at Smoke; and drummer Andy Sanesi who's banging up the top LA scene.
