35th Anniversary Reunion
DOUBLE VISION REVISITED
BOB JAMES, DAVID SANBORN, MARCUS MILLER
Three of the great living instrumentalists working in contemporary jazz reunite in celebration of the 35th anniversary of their landmark 1986 album.
Pianist/keyboardist Bob James and alto saxophonist David Sanborn are two of the most prolific and versatile musicians in the world, boasting credits that span a mind-boggling array of styles and artists. Their careers memorably crossed paths on Double Vision, which spent more than a year on the Billboard charts while earning a GRAMMY Award for best jazz fusion album and a GRAMMY nomination for Al Jarreau's simmering version of "Since I Fell For You." This performance marks just the second time Sanborn and James have shared the Miner stage together, following their triumphant quartet appearance in June 2013 during the first San Francisco Jazz Festival held at the SFJAZZ Center.
