In the midst of spiraling ecological devastation, multispecies feminist theorist Donna J. Haraway’s latest book, Staying with the Trouble, offers provocative new ways to reconfigure our relations to the earth and its inhabitants. Haraway will discuss why learning to stay with the trouble of living and dying together on a damaged earth might provide a means to build more livable futures. Haraway is Distinguished Professor Emerita in the History of Consciousness Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

About the Visiting Artists and Scholars Lecture Series
The Visiting Artists and Scholars Lecture Series (VAS) provides a forum for engagement and dialogue with major figures in international contemporary art and culture. Through lectures, screenings, and performances, the series creates intimate connections between SFAI and the public, and invites individuals to contribute to the spirit of curiosity that drives the SFAI community.
The VAS Series is free and open to the public.
VAS SOCIAL HOUR Join the SFAI community for informal social gatherings prior to each VAS lecture. Walter and McBean Galleries | 6-7 PM
