A newly commissioned piece by distinguished South African composer Bongani Ndodana-Breen anchors a program that explores heartfelt responses to tragedy and urgently seeks ways forward. Ndodana-Breen's new work, "Do not fear the past," renders Zuhura Seng'enge's poem of the same title in a setting for soprano solo and string quartet.
