After a 14-year hiatus, one of the greatest icons of Brazilian music announces his return to the US for a major tour. Four-time Latin GRAMMY winner Djavan will present a brand-new show with his full band, featuring songs from his twenty-fifth studio album "D", as well as major hits from his 45 year career. Aside from new hit songs like "Iluminado" and "Num Mundo de Paz", the set list will also include major classics from Djavan's legendary career, such as "Se", "Flor de Lis", ""Eu te Devoro", "Samurai" and many others.

Djavan was born into a poor family in Northeastern Brazil. Like those with music pumping from his veins, he pursued his dreams by performing in local nightclubs and festivals. His album, A Voz, o Violo e a Arte de Djavan, finally gained the attention that would spark a series of his most memorable hits. The album included several hits, such as "Samurai", which featured Stevie Wonder's harmonica, but "Flor de Lis" was his his most memorable piece to date.
Djavan's compositions continue to take a life of their own as contemporary jazz artists, such as Al Jaeeau and Caetano Veloso, cover and record them. His latest live concert double-volume album, Ao Vivo, has also sold 1.2 million copies. He then won the Best Brazilian song of the year at 2000 Latin Grammy Awards for the song, "Acelerou".
