The time has finally come: San Jose lo-fi, fuzz-rock Dinners are releasing their long-awaited full-length record. And by record, they mean an actual vinyl record. As members of two of San Jose's most cherished indie-rock bands, Worker Bee and Dr. Nurse, these four guys are San Jose indie-rock royalty. Dinners, though, doesn't sound like either of their root bands-more of a psychedelic rock group, with Jeff Brummett (Doctor Nurse) and Andy Barnes (Worker Bee) taking equal reins on songwriting duties. Their own rich history as music listeners (and possessors of gigantic record collections) makes for the kind of music that other music fans will love. Ugly Winner and Breathing Patterns open.
