Designers + Geeks: Designing With Words

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Designing With WordsA lightning talk series
In today's world, Design is a multidisciplinary practice that goes beyond pixels. The new standard for effective design depends on the voice and language systems within an experience or interface. In this episode of Designers + Geeks, we'll hear from Content Strategists across the industry who have a lot to say about this emerging design practice.

About Our Speakers
Our first speaker in the lineup is Jasmine Probst, heavy hitter at Facebook. She will be discussing what it means to design for difficult experiences. When designing products, we're often looking for ways to add delight. But it's important to account for the full range of emotional responses people may have, depending on what they're going through. In work my teams have done at Facebook, we've gained compassion as well as opportunities to design for some of life's most complex experiences, such as suicidal thoughts and the passing of a loved one. I’ll share some real examples and talk about how to incorporate more emotional sensitivity into your own approach.
Stay tuned for additional speakers to be announced!

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Yes, this event is 21+, and attendees will need to present a valid ID to join us. It's the beer!
