Ammunition is a studio dedicated to putting design talent at the center of imagining, creating, and operating new product and service ventures. Founded in 2007 and based in San Francisco, California and Brooklyn, New York, the studio is led by partners Robert Brunner and Matt Rolandson. Ammunition places entrepreneurs in close contact with a fifty-person team of designers with expertise in physical and digital product design, service design, brand identity, user experience, graphic design, and packaging. Noteworthy projects include Beats by Dr. Dre, June Intelligent Oven, Lyft Amp, Polaroid Cube, Square Stand, and UNICEF’s Kid Power Band.
In 2016, Ammunition won the Cooper Hewitt National Design Award for Product Design. In 2017, the studio was named one of Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Companies in Design†for the fourth time.

Robert Brunner - Partner
Robert Brunner founded San Francisco-based design studio Ammunition in 2007 to communicate ideas through products, brands, and their surrounding experiences. His work as an industrial designer has spawned numerous brand-defining designs over the past three decades.
Prior to founding Ammunition, Robert was a partner at Pentagram and led strategic brand consulting and industrial design programs for Fortune 500 companies. Previously, he was the Director of Industrial Design for Apple, where he established its pioneering internal corporate design organization, Apple IDg.
Before joining Apple, Robert co-founded design consultancy Lunar. Named one of Fast Company’s “Most Creative People in Business,†Robert’s work is included in the permanent design collections of the MoMA in both New York and San Francisco. He is the co-author of the book “Do You Matter? How Great Design Will Make People Love Your Company.â€
Matt Rolandson - Partner
As the head of experience design and design strategy at Ammunition, Matt works hands-on with the studio’s clients and partners to create new product and service businesses that engage consumers in meaningful ways. Matt has worked in close partnership with the founders of numerous startups and with leaders of organizations including Apple, Skype, Starbucks, Square, Target, and the University of California, among others.
Prior to Ammunition, Matt was President of MetaDesign in the US and a strategist at frog, where he led product and service innovation programs for clients including 23andMe, Autodesk, DirectTV, HP, and Shangri-La hotels. A native San Franciscan, Matt is a graduate of UC Berkeley where he studied sociology and architecture.

Ti is an industrial designer / entrepreneur passionate about designing products for women. She is the co-founder and VP of Design of CRAVE, a San Francisco-based company specializing in discreet and luxury sex toys. Prior to Crave, Ti founded INCOQNITO, a line of intimate accessories that double as fashionable jewelry which was acquired by CRAVE in 2011. Since then, Ti has continued to lead the concept and design for the company’s full line of products which has won numerous awards including Red Dot, IDEA and Good Design. She is best known for the design of Vesper, a vibrator necklace, one of the most celebrated and innovative sex toys disrupting the adult toy industry and changing the conversation around sex.
She chairs the San Francisco Chapter and Women in Design section of the Industrial Designers Society of America, where she organizes events to support the community industrial design. Ti holds a MA in Design Products from Royal College of Art in London and a BS in Industrial Design from Georgia Institute of Technology.
