Deorro officially crossed over into the mainstream milieu in April 2014 with the release of “Five Hours,” on which he fully flexes his production chops and songwriting mastery: A warping crescendo of filters and fuzz builds a palpable sonic tension before a grenade of futuristic beats, bass, and bounce explodes through the speakers with no regard. His first-ever chart-topping single, the song became an immediate success worldwide, having charted in a number of countries, including reaching #8 on SNEP official French Singles Chart and peaking at #1 on Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart.
