DENTAXUVIA Chapter 1: Corporeal Conversations

Dentaxuvia is an expanded reality (XR) project, by Los Angeles based artists Antigoni Tsagkaropoulou and Huntrezz Janos that blends performance, games, augmented reality, interactive sculptures, and poetry in a science fiction visual explosion, complicating the boundaries between the tangible and the intangible. The artists invite audiences to inhabit their world, interact with their avatars, and play their video game, taking them on a supernatural journey in which boundaries prove to be fluid and identities, sites of transformation. In this way, Dentaxuvia presents an act of queer resistance, revealing that anyone can shed old skins and reclaim agency in the face of oppressive regimes.
