SEE EVENT DETAILS
Join Deep House Yoga as it celebrates 10 years of beautiful and healing event experiences.

Deep House Yoga is a fully immersive experience of yoga, music, sound & visual art, built around a strong heart-centered community. We are celebrating 10 years of transformational events fusing together healing modalities and working with incredibly talented artists, and we are thrilled to be welcoming East Forest for this very special event.

Join us for a 3-hour event experience with the phenomenal musician East Forest, alongside embodied and meditational movement with Jen Accristo, with beautiful visual design and acoustics at The Midway SF with Zoey Vero & DHY design team.

7pm - 8:15 - Restorative Yoga led by Jen Accristo with live music accompaniment by East Forest.

8:15 - 9:00 - Ceremony Savasana led by East Forest.

9:00 - 10:00 - Juice & Yerba Mate Bar hosted by CLEAN cause.

Since his 2008 debut, East Forest has used the power of music to guide listeners through contemporary journeys of deep introspection. The electro-acoustic project straddles the worlds of ambient, neoclassical, electronic and indie-pop to help fans explore the vast reaches of inner space.

Whether via his Music For Mushrooms: A Soundtrack For The Psychedelic Practitioner album series, his collaborative spoken word album with Ram Dass, or one of his live communal "Ceremony Concerts," East Forest's goal has always been "building bridges and creating an approach that's grounded, embodied, inclusive, and unarguable."

His music uses art as a means for a message, but with his latest album Music For The Deck of The Titanic, the art itself becomes the message.

The album name is an homage to the infamous ship's musicians who spent their last few hours playing songs for passengers facing the tragedy before them. Beautiful, poignant and extremely human, Music For The Deck of The Titanic is East Forest's offering to the chaotic moment we're all in.

"We just went through something where we thought as a people, 'Is this the end? Will I die?' I think that sometimes we gloss over that a bit, but it was traumatic and intense for all of us. In what ways can we midwife this process with beauty and honor, as opposed to just protecting ourselves? What can you do that meaningfully serves other people and is beautiful?"

East Forest - https://eastforest.org / Ram Dass collaboration

In 2018, East Forest was invited to Ram Dass' home in Maui to join in conversation and record brand new teachings from the legendary teacher. After capturing these words of wisdom, East Forest returned to his studio in the high desert of Southern Utah to compose the soundtrack to beautifully support each songs' subject. In these new recordings, Ram Dass' words speak masterfully to the modern challenges that so many face with technology, dark thoughts, the nature of the soul, and so much more. The new East Forest record also features guest appearances from the likes of Trevor Hall, Stic of Dead Prez, The Mynabirds, and Grammy nominated artist, Krishna Das, all framing Ram Dass' teachings with contemporary voices and cementing the 88 year old spiritual teacher into an echelon of relevancy and immediacy -- offering a direct antidote for a highly polarized nation that is deeply in need of a universal voice of wisdom, connection and unconditional love.
