Deep Ellum delivers a homespun brand of soulful Americana they refer to as "bootcut boogie, cosmic country, and roadhouse rock n' roll". Lead by vocalist and songwriter David Glasebrook, the band's sound is reminiscent of such artists as Tony Joe White and Creedence Clearwater Revival, Gram Parsons and The Flying Burrito Brothers, Crazy Horse and The Band, Townes Van Zandt and Kris Kristofferson, Stax and Excello. After making their debut performance in their hometown of Santa Cruz, Deep Ellum continues to perform regularly and has shared the stage with Howlin Rain, Vetiver, Fruit Bats, Moondoggies, Magic Trick, The Romany Rye, The White Buffalo and many more.
