DJ, vocalist & producer hailing from San Francisco. On any given weekend, if he's not behind the decks you'll likely find him on a dancefloor somewhere, which is what makes the 10-year-plus veteran a dancer's DJ. Mozaic has built a reputation on solid mixing and fearless genre-hopping: "lowrider techno", hallucinogenic house, dubby disco, and deep garage all find their way into his arsenal- often within one set. His collaboration with EPROM (as Hookerz & Blow) has seen a release on Dirtybird Records, and recent remix work has been rinsed by everyone from Basement Jaxx to Jesse Rose to DJ Sneak to Pete Tong.
I've been lucky enough to catch Mozaic a handful of times in the past couple years, and he has never disappointed. You might have caught him whipping people into a frenzy at Housepitality, dropping heavy beats at big festivals like Decible or huge campouts like Symbiosis, and sharing the stage with big names like Catz 'n' Dogz, John Tejada, or Tin Man. His musical knowledge is deep and wide, and you can expect to hear everything from Deep House, Techno, UK Bass and Acid. Mozaic is even opening for the legendary Jeff Mills next month! We're very excited to have Mozaic out to Deep East, this is one not to be missed!

I met Rob Monroy at FnF last summer, yet every time I've seen Rob, he feels more like an old friend. His personality is warm and authentic, encouraging everyone around him to bring their best, both in social situations and on the dance floor. In fact, the first time I saw Rob, before I had even met him, he was tearing it up, dancing like a maniac with a big grin on his face... at 6pm! He's a true music appreciator, which feeds his excellent selection as a DJ, making for a unique, and above all, fun DJ set!
Rob Monroy’s first exposure to electronic dance music came in 1993. After several years as a deadhead he was ready to broaden his musical horizons when he discovered the infamous Wicked Full Moon parties. During those times he was schooled by the talents of the British transplants in the art of the DJ and resolved to become part of the movement in Santa Cruz. More than a decade later he has had the honor to spin with some of his biggest heroes at many beautiful locations and continues to appreciate the honor of being part of the magic of the west coast electronic music scene. Rob's impressively positive outlook can best be summed up in his own words: Life is short, do something cool.

Nackt is a DJ, Producer, Lover, and Gentleman. He is a founding member of the Deep East crew, happy to be bringing the Bay Area's finest local DJ talent to Oakland! A native of the East Bay, Nackt grew up playing jazz saxophone and collecting Funk and Soul records. After becoming obsessed with Hip-Hop in the 90's, his extensive vinyl collection was put to good use as sample fuel in Downtempo and Hip-Hop production teams. Nackt worked the house party circuit and eventually earned a weekly residency at Oakland landmark, Ruby Room. Excited by the House and Garage revival happening in the UK Bass scene, Nackt has shifted focus to DJ funky Deep House, Techno, and Bass-heavy beats from across the globe. Nackt's thorough musical knowledge makes for an eclectic set, sure to please the discerning listener with beats heavy enough to get a dance floor shaking.
