Looking for inspiration? Join artist Ethan Estess as he debuts his temporary art installation “Last Dive at the Farallones” on Thursday, April 17, at The Marine Mammal Center’s Deep Dive: ArtSea!
Tap into your artistic side at this exclusive after-hours event for adults only at The Marine Mammal Center in the Marin Headlands, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge.
“Last Dive” is a three-dimensional representation of a whale fluke just before submerging. Spanning 8 feet tip to tip, this piece is made entirely of found materials, including plastic foam, rope and wood. Listen as Ethan shares his inspiration for the sculpture and the process of creating it.
Then get your caricature drawn by Zach Trenholm, who will create your likeness in about three minutes or less and give you a lifelong memory to take home and share.
The ticket price is all-inclusive of food, drink, and entertainment. $30 members / $35 non-members. Buy your tickets now at

The Marine Mammal Center is a veterinary hospital for sea lions and seals, and Deep Dive is an exclusive opportunity to explore the Center after-hours and watch our patients' twilight feeding, all while enjoying drinks and hors d'oeuvres as the sun is setting over the Pacific Ocean. Deep Dive evening programs for guests 21+ will occur the third Thursday of each month from 6-9:30pm at our hospital in the Marin Headlands.
